On 24.05.2026, acting on credible source information, Chanchal Police conducted a raid near Nehalpur Primary School under Bhakri GP, Malda, and apprehended four persons allegedly involved in illegal narcotics trafficking.

The arrested accused are:

1. Habib Ali (30) of Sitalpur, Chanchal

2. Tajal (35) of Bilaidangi, Chanchal

3. Afsari Khatun (30) of Abadpur, Katihar, Bihar

4. Hasina Bibi (40) of Ranikamat, Chanchal

During the search, police recovered and seized:

• 410 grams of Brown Sugar

• 02 Mobile Phones

A specific case has been registered at Chanchal PS under relevant sections of law, and all accused persons have been taken into police custody for further investigation.
