Baishnabnagar PS was established on 14/03/1988 bifurcating Kaliachak PS vide notification no. 7561-PI/PB/4P-3/87 Dt. 12/08/1987. Baishnabnagar PS is situated at the south end of Malda District on the embankment of river Ganga. River Bridge and NH-34 is connecting South Bengal to North Bengal Passing through this PS. There is also international border with the Republic of Bangladesh length of approx 15 KM which is totally fenced and covered by 4 No’s BOP of BSF. There are mixed population mainly Hindu (103774) Muslim (126834) and main lively hard is cultivation.
